Friends & Coffee

We survived the stormy weather and made a trip up to Coos Bay this past Sunday to visit J's childhood best friend Kenny and his lovely wife Jenn whom I consider a dear friend. J's amazing mom came with us since she is best friends with Kenny's mom as well. :) It's a three hour drive each way and the mom mobile proved to be a road warrior. It was so nice to have the extra space for the trip especially when we had stop once each way to take a potty and nursing break.

We had so much fun catching up with these two. We only get to see them once a year, but it never feels like it has been that long. We went and ate some delicious bagels and drank yummy coffee, while J and Kenny's moms entertained the boys. Thank you both so much for watching the hooligans for a few hours! We even went on a mini adventure walk to check out some of the waves. They were breathtaking. We were in awe of God's creation.

Jenn and Kenny are expecting their first baby...a boy!!! :)....in early May and they were able to get some practice time with Brohdy. These two are going to be amazing parents...that's a fact. I can't wait until they bring little Micah back to Oregon for a visit!

We had so much fun catching up with you two! I wish that we lived next door, so that Jenn and I could drink coffee, discuss baby gear and politics all day. :) Our goal is to make a trip out to see them in the next couple of years. Kenny and Jenn...you both are awesome. We love you!

  1. We love you, too!! We had the best time...can't wait for you to visit Cincinnati some day - in the meantime, we'll have to keep meeting up on the west coast and try to keep those crazy hubbies of ours off the edge of cliffs during winter storms! ;-) So thankful for your sweet friendship! xoxo
