Trey is officially reading books!
Trey has always been a kid who loves read and learn new things. We worked a lot on the alphabet and the sounds that the letters make and read loads of books. These are things that he's always enjoyed doing, so we ran with it.
Here are some of the materials that we have been using:
Leapfrog has been our go to in educational toys. We have also used some fun Ipad apps like Leapfrog, ABC flashcards, and now Starfall. I've also starting using Christ-Centered Phonics flashcards. It was nice to have a sweet lady from church who home schooled her kids and grandchildren to offer me advice. She has been a huge help!
It's always fun and exciting when your kiddo learns something new. Treyton loves to read to his baby brother, which is the sweetest thing. Now if only Brohdy would start to talk a tad more instead of grunting at us like a wild caveman... :)
It has been raining on an off this week, but Oregon teased us for a bit with a little sunshine today, so we snuck outside for a quick walk and trike ride.
We hit up Home Depot yesterday to pick up some materials for a project that I plan to start this weekend. Need a fun place to take two boys? Go there. We walked around forever ooohing and ahhing at all of the cool stuff. :)
Enjoy the rest of your week!
